These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Task Easy, including the mobile application ("App") and the website at taskeasyapp.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by AgenticShankar ("we", "us", or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
Section 01
By creating an account, downloading the App, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App before they take effect (see Section 15).
Section 02
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to create an account or use the Service.
If we discover that an account belongs to a user under 18, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or delete that account and any associated data without notice.
Section 03
To use most features of the Service, you must register for an account using a valid email address or a supported third-party sign-in (Google). You are responsible for:

Section 04
The Service is offered on two subscription tiers:

Free plan limits: The free plan allows up to 5 lists and 50 tasks in total across all your lists (active, snoozed, and completed tasks all count). When you reach a limit you will be prompted to upgrade to Pro or remove existing items. Your existing data is never automatically deleted — it remains intact and readable until you free up space or upgrade.
Pro plan limits: Pro subscribers can have up to 50 lists and 500 tasks in total, and receive 30 AI credits per calendar month (resetting on the 1st of each month). If a request fails or you cancel before the AI output is shown, no credit is charged.
What counts toward the list limit: Lists you own count toward your personal quota. Shared lists you collaborate on do not count toward your quota — only toward the list owner's. The "My Calendar" list (used for Google Calendar sync) never counts toward any limit.
Downgrading from Pro to Free: If your Pro subscription lapses and your owned list count exceeds 5, or your total task count exceeds 50, your data remains intact but you will be unable to create new lists or tasks until you re-subscribe or reduce your counts to within the free tier limits.
Section 05
Pro subscriptions are billed through the platform or payment processor you use to subscribe:
Refunds: All refund requests for App purchases must be submitted to Google Play directly. For web purchases, please contact us at support@taskeasyapp.com within 14 days of the charge; refunds are granted at our discretion. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for the current billing period.
Price changes: We reserve the right to change Pro subscription pricing. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before your next renewal. Continued use after the new price takes effect constitutes acceptance.
Section 06
Display advertisements may be shown to users on the Free plan. These ads are served by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob or Google AdSense) and may be targeted based on general usage context. Pro plan subscribers do not see display advertisements.
Sponsor branding — a named sponsor's logo or wordmark — may be displayed within the Service to all users, including Pro plan subscribers. Sponsor branding is clearly labelled as "Sponsored by" and is distinct from display advertisements. Sponsor branding does not involve personalised targeting and will not link to harmful content.
We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. If you have concerns about a specific ad, please contact us.

You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and, at our sole discretion, remove content and/or suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice.
Section 08
Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content you create within the Service, including task titles, notes, and list names ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide the Service to you.
Your responsibility for personal information: The Service allows you to enter free-form text into tasks, notes, and list names. You may choose to enter personal, sensitive, or confidential information into these fields. You do so entirely at your own risk. We strongly advise against storing sensitive personal information — such as passwords, financial account numbers, national identification numbers, or medical records — as plain text within the Service.
Shared lists: If you share a list with collaborators, they can read the content of all tasks in that list, including any personal information you have entered. You are solely responsible for the content you share.

Offline Use and Local Data Cache: The Service stores a local copy of your lists and tasks on your device to allow continued use when your device has no internet connection. This local cache is managed by the Firebase SDK and resides in your device's protected app storage. While offline, you can view, add, and manage tasks and lists; these changes are queued locally and automatically synchronised to our servers when connectivity is restored. The following features require an active internet connection and are not available offline: inviting or removing collaborators, accepting or declining invitations, Google Calendar sync, and AI briefings (TaskAI). You acknowledge that: (a) offline writes are queued on-device and are subject to the same Terms as online writes; (b) the local cache may reflect data that is slightly out of date if another device or collaborator made changes while you were offline — the Service will reconcile these on reconnect using Firestore's last-write-wins merge; (c) the local cache is cleared when you sign out or uninstall the app.
TaskAI (AI-Generated Features): The Service includes AI-powered features (TaskAI) — briefings, Smart List generation, and task suggestions. When you use them, the goal or request you type, along with selected task data (task titles, due dates, list names, and calendar event names), is transmitted to Google's Gemini API. By using TaskAI you consent to this data transfer, and you agree not to enter sensitive personal information into AI prompts. Briefings are cached on your device; AI-generated Smart Lists are also cached on our servers for up to 30 days (not linked to your account) to serve repeated requests, then deleted. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and may not be accurate, complete, or current. Do not rely solely on TaskAI suggestions for important decisions. We make no warranty as to the quality or accuracy of any AI-generated output.
Push Notifications: If you grant notification permission, the Service will deliver push notifications to your device. These include real-time alerts for collaborator activity on shared lists, invitation and membership updates, account security alerts, and scheduled reminders — per-task due reminders (at a lead time you choose), routine reminders, and an optional daily digest summarising tasks due today or tomorrow. Scheduled reminders and the daily digest are delivered at the times you configure, in your own timezone (set in Settings → Preferences, or auto-detected from your device). You can control, mute, or fully disable notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use any other part of the Service.

The Service allows you to share lists with other registered users ("collaborators"). When you invite another user to a shared list:

Our property: The Service, including its design, code, name "Task Easy", logo, and all related branding, is owned by AgenticShankar and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
Your property: As stated in Section 8, you retain ownership of all User Content you create. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your tasks, notes, or lists.
Feedback: If you submit suggestions or feedback about the Service, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without obligation to you.
Section 11
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss, corruption, or security breach.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure (including Google Firebase and Google Calendar APIs). We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by third-party service providers.
Section 12
By you: You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. Account deletion permanently removes your profile and all owned lists and tasks. This action cannot be undone.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 8, 10, 13, and 14 survive termination.
Section 13
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AgenticShankar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 1,000 (approximately USD 12).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Section 14
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Illinois, United States.
Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@taskeasyapp.com. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter within 30 days.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
